Walmart Pickup Towers UI
Redesigned and developed the user interface for Walmart pickup towers, improving customer experience and saving millions in labor costs and customer hours.

Overview
Walmart’s pickup towers are the kiosks inside stores where customers collect online orders by scanning a barcode. The interface has to work quickly for everyone who walks up to it.
My role
At Walmart Labs, I redesigned and built the tower’s user interface in React and TypeScript: real-time order tracking, clear progress indicators, multi-language support, accessibility features, error handling and quick scanning, integrated with the tower’s existing systems.
Outcome
The new interface saved more than $1 million a year in labor costs and an estimated 3.65 million customer hours.
