Overview

Walmart Academies is Walmart’s in-store training programme for associates. This web application supports it: associates browse course material, enrol in sessions and track what they have completed, including on shared in-store devices.

My role

At Walmart Labs, I built the application’s interfaces in React and Redux, on a Node.js back end with RESTful APIs: the course catalogue and search, session enrolment, completion tracking, and separate views for associates and facilitators, all following Walmart’s shared design language and accessibility standards.

Outcome

Associates and facilitators have one place to find training, sign up for sessions and see progress, with enrolment and completion kept consistent across sessions.
