Overview

Project WIN is a logistics platform for Tyson Foods that works out how delivery trucks should be loaded. Loads must comply with regulations that vary from state to state and town to town, and trucks have to be packed in delivery order so each stop can be unloaded without rearranging the rest.

My role

As a developer at Tyson Foods, I built the platform’s APIs and back-end systems in Node.js with Express, Sequelize and PostgreSQL: automated load optimization, compliance checks, route optimization, real-time load calculations, and the data behind a reporting dashboard.

Outcome

Delivery efficiency improved by more than 30%, with 100% compliance and 99.9% API uptime.
