Overview

Metrics that Matter is a React Native app for Walmart store management. It puts the numbers needed to run a store — KPIs, schedules and other essential information — on a phone. It was later migrated into Me@Walmart.

My role

As a Software Engineer at Walmart Labs, I built the app in React Native with Redux, using Chart.js for data visualization. It syncs data in real time, works offline, sends push notifications and exports data, and I held it to 95% unit test coverage.

Outcome

With more than 25,000 users, it saved over $4 million a year in labor costs.
