Comprehensive portal for delivering diffraction data, reducing delivery time by over 2 weeks per order through AWS integration and streamlined workflows.
Overview
The International Centre for Diffraction Data (ICDD) delivers diffraction data to its customers, in files of up to 10 GB. The goal was to get ordered data to customers much sooner, without compromising security.
My role
At Accella, I built a full-stack portal in React, Node.js with Express, and PostgreSQL. Files are stored and delivered through AWS S3 and customers sign in with AWS Cognito; they can follow each order as it progresses, and large files transfer efficiently.
Outcome
Delivery time fell by more than two weeks per order, with files of up to 10 GB delivered securely and 99.9% uptime.
